Adapted Trends’ black cargo shorts are designed for wheelchair users and people with additional needs, with a range of practical adaptations built into a comfortable, unisex design that doesn’t compromise on style.
The shorts are made from 100% cotton with a wider leg for comfort when sitting, an elasticated waistband with drawstring, and full length 2-way zips running down each leg. The zips open from both ends, making self-dressing and assisted dressing easier, and a zipper guard at the back prevents rubbing. A ring pull on each zip makes them easier to manage.
The waistband is tailored specifically for seated wear, with a lower front to prevent bunching and a higher back. The shorts can be customised to make the back higher, if needed to cover incontinence aids. The elasticated drawstring at the hem means the shorts can be gathered and worn above the knee if preferred.
Additional features include accessible side pockets on both sides for easy reach when seated, a 1 inch hole in each hip pocket for feeding tube access, and zips that open along the leg to allow access to catheter bags or prosthetics.
